(Mar. 07, 2019) – Steel Worker 3rd Class Daniel Fleischer (left), from Oak Harbor, Washington, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 (NMCB-5) Det. 40, Builder Constructionman Michael Piehl (Center), from Moreno Valley, California, and Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Bellingheirl, from San Diego both assigned to Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 303, remove a floorboard during a bridge reconstruction project on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The new road will connect the I Marine Expeditionary Force and NMCB-5 camps giving them the ability to conduct military base construction and maintenance in a joint environment in support of Pacific Blitz 2019 (PB19). Working hand-in-hand, the Navy expeditionary force and Marine Logistics Group capabilities complement each other in the building of advanced naval bases.
