The sun sets on Contingency Operating Site Kalsu, Iraq during the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division’s deployment in 2011. During its deployment, the brigade worked to continue building upon an enduring partnership with Iraqis while simultaneously closing down three of the last U.S. bases in Iraq.
