Airmen from Tinker Air Force Base’s First Term Airmen Center wait to board an approaching Oklahoma City Streetcar during a complimentary tour and free streetcar ride of the downtown area courtesy of an innovative partnership between the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau and Tinker AFB on March 8, 2019. The group of Airmen spent part of a day downtown where they rode the new OKC Streetcar for free, while learning about important landmarks, attractions and even where free parking is located. The downtown tour has quickly become a welcome capstone to the FTAC curriculum and, over time, should help integrate the military members with the community faster and smoother.
