U.S. Marines Corps Lance Cpl. Scott Jarvis, a meteorology and oceanology (METOC) observer with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, completes a terminal aerodrome forecast (TAF) report at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, Feb. 15, 2019. METOC observers are tasked with producing TAF reports, which provide pilots with information on weather and forecast in the air.
