Maj. Carlos Olvera, a native of Calexcio, Calif., after a ceremony in which both battalion’s colors were reunited with the 5th Infantry Regiment colors on Forward Operating Base Shoja, after 55 years of separation. The last time the unit was together was in 1957, when the unit was stationed in Nuremburg, Germany.
