    (L-R) 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment Command Sgt. Maj. Ernest Bowen, a native of Georgetown, Penn., puts out his hand to accept a coin from 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment Command Sgt. Maj. Carlos Olvera, a native of Calexcio, Calif., after a ceremony in which both battalion’s colors were reunited with the 5th Infantry Regiment colors on Forward Operating Base Shoja, after 55 years of separation. The last time the unit was together was in 1957, when the unit was stationed in Nuremburg, Germany.
