The 1938 Cadillac Model 75 (a full size Cadillac Series 70 V-8 car) was driven by Pfc. Horace L. Woodring (1926–2003). Gen. George S. Patton sat in the back seat on the right side, with his chief of staff, Maj. Gen. Hobart R. ‘Hap’ Gay on his left, as per custom. The car still has the original upholstery. The interior of the car is original to the 1938 model. Patton, commander of the 15th Army, was riding in this series 1938 Cadillac when he was fatally injured in a traffic accident in Germany, Dec. 9, 1945. (U.S. Army photo by Capt. Olivia Cobiskey)
