PHILIPPINE SEA (April 18, 2019) Sailors climb up a ladder from a ridged-hulled inflatable boat (RIB) onto the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) after practicing Visit Board Search and Seizer (VBSS) with the Royal Australian Navy Adelaide-class guided-missile frigate HMAS Melbourne (FFG 05) on each other’s vessels during a cooperative deployment. Preble and Melbourne participated in a cooperative deployment in order to improve on maritime capabilities between partners.
