190424-M-YD783-1134 JOINT TRAINING CENTER, Jordan (April 24, 2019) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Katy Jones, center, with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Female Engagement Team, prepares to transport a simulated casualty during a nine-line medical evacuation drill prior to a live fire combat marksmanship range training. During the range training, Marines and Sailors exchanged combat tactics, techniques, and procedures with foreign troops. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
