Students from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs Center for International Security Studies learn how the U.S. Army trains to fight future wars where they may encounter chemical weapons. Lieutenant Colonel Jeffery Smith, Commander of the 710th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, shows how his unit is training to fight against a future near peer adversary while wearing full chemical protective gear during a simulated chemical attack during training at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La. on April 20, 2019. The JRTC is the Army’s premier training center and a rotation there is the crucible training event for brigade combat teams.
