An intake cover on the T-38 Talon displays the name of the incoming 509th Bomb Wing Commander Col. Jeffrey T. Schreiner on May 9, 2019, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Schreiner earned his commission from the Air Force Academy in 1996 and went on to become a T-38 instructor pilot, a B-2 pilot and a B-2 instructor/evaluator pilot, in addition to various leadership positions. Prior to returning to the 509th Bomb Wing, Schreiner served as a Battle Watch Commander in the Global Operations Center of U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
