An OH-58D Kiowa Warrior patrols a canyon during a test flight in Nangarhar province March 2, 2012. The Task Force Saber, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade Kiowa provides close air reconnaissance and combat air support to ground troops in eastern Afghanistan. The Kiowa is capable of carrying a variety of weapons, including 2.75-inch rockets (pictured here), hellfire missiles, or a .50 cal machine gun.
