Pawloski, a native of Greensboro, N.C., was the senior instructor for 18 soldiers, including Pheth, a native of Spanaway, Wash., assigned to 1st STB, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., who tackled a week long course Feb. 27 – March 2, in order to become level one certified in the U.S. Army’s combatives program.
