Cpl. Ashley M. Pawlowski, senior combatives instructor assigned to Company B, 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, demonstrates the correct way to apply a rear choke hold on Spc. Pawloski, a native of Greensboro, N.C., was the senior instructor for 18 soldiers, including Beck, a native of Bridgman, Mich., assigned to 1st STB, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., who tackled a week long course Feb. 27 – March 2, in order to become level one certified in the U.S. Army’s combatives program.
