NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (May 23, 2019) -- Electronics Technician 2nd Class Banks Ward, from Hartsville, South Carolina, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) combat systems department, recites the oath of enlistment with Lt. Jordan Kobs, from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Ford's assistant navigator, during his reenlistment ceremony. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
