NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (May 23, 2019) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Banks Ward, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) combat systems department, from Hartsville, South Carolina, receives his honorable discharge certificate from Lt. Jordan Kobs, Ford's assistant navigator, from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, during his reenlistment ceremony. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
