James Ferguson, a fabricator at the 437th Operations Support Squadron, traces a stencil used to produce cuts of canvas used to reupholster headrests on the C-17 Globemaster III June 12, 2019, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Ferguson spent 24 years on active duty, 15 of those as a mobility Airman, and was once a flight chief of the very shop he works in now. The 24 years of experience is being recapitalized to develop today’s modern force. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Senior Airman Joshua R. Maund)
