(June 15, 2019) Aviation Electrician’s Mate 1st Class Petty Officer Adam Love, assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 5, collects debris alongside a members of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and local organizations during a joint clean-up event at Peace Memorial Park in Okinawa, Japan. The “Mad Foxes” of VP-5, who are based out of Jacksonville, Florida, are currently deployed to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. Throughout the deployment, they will be conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within the 7th Fleet area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
