U.S. Marine Corporals Julio Ramirez, a 21-year-old native of Fontana, Calif., and Michael Estrada, a 22-year-old native of Reno, Nev., light armored vehicle crewman with Charlie Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, observe a moment of silence for Lance Cpl. Ramon T. Kaipat, an infantryman who served with Charlie Co. and 22-year-old native of Tacoma, Wash., during a memorial service here, April 16, 2012. Kaipat was killed in action during a dismounted patrol in support of combat operations in Helmand province’s Khan Neshin district.
