From left Jamie Ward, 5th and 6th grade math and science teacher at Elysian Fields Middle School, Bridgette Brown, behavioral interventionist at Oaklawn Jr. High School, Tiffany Gaynor, behavioral support teacher at Fontainebleau High School, Paul Scott Jr., community college recruiter at Jackson State University, conduct a dismounted operation with Virtual Battlespace 3 (VBS3), the Army's premier first-person simulation game, during the U.S. Army, Baton Rouge Recruiting Battalion Education Tour at the Maneuver Center of Excellence in Fort Benning, Ga., from June 19 to June 21, 2019. The VBS3 allows Soldiers to exercise a variety of task at the "crawl" and "walk" levels of proficiency. This reduces the cost and increases the efficiency of live-training events because it allows Soldiers to start training events at a higher level of readiness. The VBS3 was one of multiple Army technologies the educators were exposed to during the tour. (U.S. Army photo by Adam Garlington, Baton Rouge Recruiting Battalion)
