Members of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit enjoy a guided tour of Gibraltar where they visited Europa Point, Nature Reserve and the local shopping area, April 23, 2012, while conducting a port visit in Spain. Marines and Sailors of the 24th MEU and the Navy's Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, aboard the USS Iwo Jima, conducted a scheduled port visit to Rota, Spain, April 19 to 24 where they were able to participate in various tours like this throughout southern Spain. The 24th MEU, partnered with the Iwo Jima ARG, is deploying to the European and Central Command theaters of operation to serve as a theater reserve and crisis response force capable of a variety of missions from full-scale combat operations to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
