1st Lt. Megan Moerman, the officer in charge of Marine Wing Support Squadron, Detachment 172, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, helps set up a refueling system for Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) training at Ie Shima Training Facility, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 12, 2019. The FARP event demonstrated the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s capabilities to refuel at any given location. The establishment of a Forward Arming and Refueling Point from amphibious shipping demonstrates naval expeditionary integration across Marine Air-Ground Task Force capabilities and warfighting domains.
