Australian Army quick reaction force (QRF) soldiers, deployed with Task Group Taji 9, fire weapons during a close-quarters range, at the Taji Military Complex, Iraq, August 16, 2019. The QRF is a high-readiness unit expected to react on short notice to a variety of scenarios ranging from vehicle accidents to insider threats. The live fire range will help refine their skills and enhance combat effectiveness under realistic conditions.
