Australian Army soldier, Lance Corporal Ryan Willoughby, deployed with Task Group Taji 9 as part of a quick reaction force (QRF), loads rounds into his magazine, at the Taji Military Complex, Iraq, August 16, 2019. The QRF is a high-readiness unit expected to react on short notice to a variety of scenarios from vehicle accidents to insider threats. The live fire range conducted will help Australian and New Zealand soldier refine their skills and enhance combat effectiveness under realistic conditions.
