Command Sgt. Maj. Nathaniel Shephard III, left, of Columbia, S.C., and Lt. Col. Bruce Jenkins from Honolulu, Hawaii, command sergeant major and commander of the 556th Personnel Services Battalion, case their unit flag during a transfer of authority ceremony at Logistics Support Area, Kuwait, Sept. 12. The 556th PSB's colors will remain cased until all members of the battalion return home to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The 556th PSB is being replaced by the 1146th PSB from Montgomery, Ala., Both units deployed to Kuwait to support Third Army (Forward) and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
