U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Tyrell Thompson, with the 302nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, disconnects and moves an auxiliary power unit cable from a C-130 Hercules aircraft from the 731st Airlift Squadron during a Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) certification and recurrent training exercise at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., April 21, 2012. MAFFS is a portable fire retardant system that can be installed on C-130 Hercules aircraft to convert them into air tankers.
