Lieutenant General Patricia D. Horoho, 43rd surgeon general of the United States Army and Commander, US Army Medical Command receives an introductory briefing about the Rose Barracks, Germany Troop Medical Clinic from Major Robert W. Byrne , 2nd Cavalry Regiment Regimental Support Squadron Surgeon and Medical Director of the TMC, May 09, 2012. The Rose Barracks TMC is the first partnered FORSCOM/MEDCOM TMC in Europe and members of the two commands integrate their efforts and resources to maximize the soldier’s health. Lieutenant General Horoho is the first female and first Nurse Corps Officer to serve as surgeon general of any of the Armed Forces.
