Brig. Gen. Kris A Belanger, Commanding General, 85th U.S. Army Support Command talks with Col. David Woodruff, 181st Infantry Brigade (MFTB) Commander, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, during the New Brigade Command Teams training, September 21-22, 2019. Brigade command teams traveled to the 85th USARSC headquarters to learn about command relationships, medical readiness and training management within the multi-component partnership between the active component’s First Army and the U.S. Army Reserve’s 85th USARSC. The training also included breakout sessions with members of the G primary staffs. The purpose of the training was to explain some of the challenges facing the Army Reserve and to develop a common understanding between the active component and the Army Reserve.
