Veteran Dana Harper, 3rd Battalion, 27th Marine Regiment, gives closing remarks during a plaque dedication ceremony for Marines, who served in the battalion during the Vietnam War at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Quantico, Va., Sept. 26, 2019. The battalion of more than 400 Marines and sailors were non-infantrymen despite the mission at hand. During the 206 days of combat, including Operation Allen Brook ,the battalion had taken over 300 casualties and over 100 fatalities.
