Veterans of 3rd Battalion, 27th Marine Regiment pay their respects while taps plays during a plaque dedication ceremony for Marines, who served in the battalion during the Vietnam War at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Quantico, Va., Sept. 26, 2019. The battalion consisted of more than 400 Marines the majority of Marines being non-infantrymen. During the 206 days of combat including Operation Allen Brook the battalion had taken over 300 casualties and over 100 fatalities.
