Sgt. Julian Blodgett, the senior mechanic for 4th Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, directs an M1A2 Abrams tank for loading onto a low-barge cargo ship at the Port of Vlissingen, Netherlands, Oct. 12, 2019. This is the first time the U.S. Army has utilized a low-barge inland cargo ship in support of Atlantic Resolve to transport tracked armored vehicles across Europe, to reassure NATO Allies and partners of the United States’ continued commitment to rapidly deploying combat credible forces across the region.
