An M1A2 Abram Tank belonging to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, is raised over the pier ledge at the Port of Vlissingen, Netherlands, to be lowered onto a low-barge ship for transportation to another location within Europe Oct. 12, 2019. This is the first time that a low-barge method of transportation for tracked vehicles has been used for Atlantic Resolve. The low-barge is capable of transporting 18 armored vehicles at a time during a 36-hour period to enhance the United State’s capabilities to deploy combat credible forces in a moment’s notice strengthening the security and readiness in the European region.
