Julian Blodgett, the senior mechanic for 4th Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, guides an M1A2 Abrams tank for loading onto a low-barge cargo ship at the Port of Vlissingen, Netherlands, Oct. 12, 2019. The deployment of the 2nd ABCT includes the shipment of 85 tanks, 120 Bradley fighting vehicles, 15 Paladins, 500 tracked vehicles, 1200 wheeled vehicles and pieces of equipment and 300 trailers and enhances U.S. Army Europe’s ability to facilitate the quick assembly of forces to deter aggression.
