The Puerto Rico National Guard Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Enhanced Response Force Package undergoes an emergency response training, called Vigilant Guard, in which they sharpen their emergency assistance skills. The PR CERFP is comprised of airmen and soldiers from different units, but the majority of them are from the 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment. Sgt. Jose Cadiz, a logistics NCO for the PR-CERFP, keeps the logistics running despite the low light conditions at the Oregon State Fairground Pavilion, Salem, Ore. The pavilion will be their home away from home during the five-day training.
