191112-N-PP451-1043 SANTA RITA, Guam (Nov. 12, 2019) Force Master Chief Delbert Terrell Jr., Naval Facilities Engineering Command, presents a challenge coin to Equipment Operator 2nd Class Alexander Taschner, from Palmdale, California, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Guam, for his efforts as project safety on the Asphalt Batch Plant. The batch plant will be used to support construction operations on Naval Base Guam to support initiatives of the Naval Construction Force throughout Guam, increasing military readiness and capability. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
