191112-A-HZ000-3019 ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 12, 2019) Gunner’s Mate 1st Class Andrew Levett, assigned to coastal patrol ship USS Sirocco (PC 6), rides a rigid-hull inflatable boat on route to board the coastal patrol boat USCGC Adak (1333) to allow Coast Guardsmen to join security operations in the Arabian Gulf. Sirocco is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
