191113-A-HZ000-1108 ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 13, 2019) Sailors and Coast Guardsmen launched from the coastal patrol ship USS Sirocco (PC 6) board a dhow boat from a rigid-hull inflatable boat to question fishermen during a visit, board, search and seizure security operation in the Arabian Gulf. Sirocco is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
