191113-A-HZ000-1178 ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 13, 2019) Coast Guardsmen and Soldiers launched from the coastal patrol ship USS Sirocco (PC 6) provide security to Army and Navy civil affairs during a visit, board, search, and seizure operation in the Arabian Gulf. Sirocco is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
