Representatives of the Pacific Energy Assurance Renewables Laboratory participate in a blessing ceremony Dec. 17, 2019, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. A ‘Kahu’ (Hawaiian priest and island caregiver) led the representatives through traditional rituals and bestowed an offering, known as a ho’okupu, to the 154th Wing commander. The representatives gathered to recognize developments of a state-of-the-art microgrid project, a component of the Pacific Energy Assurance Renewables Laboratory.
