U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Nathan D. Vinson, from Athens, Texas, chooses from finely prepared Arabic cuisines at the five-star Four Seasons Hotel in Doha, Qatar on Sept. 28. Vinson was on leave from Iraq while participating in a rest and recuperation pass program with other American troops serving in Southwest Asia. Vinson and nine other service members attended a "Suhur," an Arabic word referring to a late evening feast during Ramadan, Islam's holiest month. "It's really nice to be able to see the sights and experience the culture; it's something interesting," said Vinson. "Everything at the Suhur was something new."
