ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 17, 2020) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Jeremy Manarang, from Las Vegas, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department, tows an E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 20, across the ship's flight deck. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
