ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 22, 2020) A Sailor assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department signals to the pilot of an F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23, on Ford's flight deck. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
