New Iraqi security volunteers from the eastern Baghdad neighborhood of Sha'ab have their fingerprints entered into a database by Georgetown, Texas, native, Pfc. Jeremy Mendoza, right, and Chicago, Ill.,native, Staff Sgt. Thedros Poinsette from 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, as part of the screening process for new recruits, Sept. 27. When the recruiting drive is complete, around 1,200 local men will have been selected as security volunteers in Sha'ab.
