Around 30 10th Mountain Division (LI) Soldiers received the prototype Cold Temperature and Arctic Protection System on Jan. 23, 2020 for testing over the winter. CTAPS was designed to be more comfortable, warm, and functional than the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS).
