U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. John Slocum, a chaplain’s assistant in the 110th Wing’s chapel office, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, stands for a portrait in the multi-purpose worship center at Battle Creek Air National Guard Base.
“The main thing I love about my job here at the chapel corp in Battle Creek is that I get to work with and collaborate in some way shape or form with every unit and person on this base. From the wing commander to people in student flight who haven’t even gone to basic training yet, we get to work with everybody and learn from them and engage with them and that’s an awesome thing.”
