Lt. Robert Grant, with the Tinker Fire Department, keeps an eye on a prescribed burn close to base housing Mar. 6. Natural Resources and Tinker Fire Department personnel assisted a team from the Air Force Wildland Fire Branch in the prescribed burn Mar. 6 in a field close to base housing, lodging and the Tinker Club. The burns eliminate invasive and non-native grasses and plants and act as a fertilizer, allowing new, productive growth in the Tinker grassland areas.
