Retired U. S. Army Reserve Lt. Col. Gail L. Ruffin, who recently retired last year and now a current resident of Dupont, Wash., talks to a representative who works at Homes for Veterans, one of the many benefit advisors and benefit-service providers in the Tacoma-Seattle area, that participated in the 2012 Washington Women-Veterans’ Conference at Hotel Murano, Tacoma, Wash., which was presented by the Washington State Department of Veteran Affairs and several other sponsors in the Tacoma-Seattle area June 16. The purpose of the conference was to take a holistic approach to women veterans’ benefits. The conference promoted future growth, and prosperity within the female veteran population.
