FORT BENNING, Ga. – In an October 2018 photo, a team of U.S. Army snipers compete at Fort Benning during the International Sniper Competition. This year that competition will be part of Fort Benning's prestigious annual Infantry Week, which runs April 14 - 20 and includes, besides the International Sniper Competition, the Best Mortar Competition, the All Army Lacerda Cup Combatives Competition, and the Best Ranger Competition. Infantry Week is known for its exacting standards and often grueling physical demands, in which competitors vie under high-pressure, combat-like conditions for best-in-their-field honors. The public is invited to attend.
