A Soldier from the Maryland National Guard’s 110th Information Operations Battalion practices the Standing Power Throw, which is one of the six events in the new Army Combat Fitness Test, in Annapolis, Md., January 26, 2020. The SPT event represents tasks requiring quick explosive movements to maneuver equipment and personnel. The ACFT is intended to improve Soldier physical readiness, transform the culture of Army fitness, reduce preventable injuries and attrition, enhance mental strength and stamina, and contribute to increased unit readiness.
