Left to right, Sgt. Chad Davis from the Mississippi Army National Guard, Sgt. Lixing from Fort Hood, Texas and Sgt. Jake Baker from the Tennessee Army National Guard work together on Abrams Tank Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical filtration system. Four weeks into the class the soldiers are working on a class assignment to remove and study the nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) filtration system of the Abrams Tank. The soldiers were required to remove the system from the tank, tear it down and put it back together. They will be tested by explaining to the class instructor, Sgt. 1st Class Dolin, how the system operates. The purpose of the exercise is for the soldiers to know how the system works in order to teach lower level soldiers under their supervision how to maintain the system.
