Naval Air Station Key West Navy Exchange employees Javeel McFarlane and Esther Vasquez, along with volunteer Sailors, unload palates of merchandise at the NEX warehouse at Sigsbee Park. Maintaining warfighter readiness amid COVID-19 concerns, Sailors have been volunteering to help NEX employees unload delivery trucks and more rapidly prepare items to move to the sales floor. Navy installations are responsible for keeping airfields, ports, Navy housing, galley services, medical facilities, and utilities open and supporting our Fleet, fighters and their families. NAS Key West is the state-of-the-art facility for combat fighter aircraft of all military services, provides world-class pierside support to U.S. and foreign naval vessels, and is the premier training center for surface and subsurface military operations.
